Instance Segmentation for Neurological Disease Research

Instance Segmentation for Neurological Disease Research

Exploring and comparing deep learning models for instance segmentation of neurons, astrocytes, and neuroblastoma cells in brightfield microscopy images. This project aims to improve disease detection and treatment through advanced computer vision techniques.

Neural Mechanisms of Predictive Processing

Neural Mechanisms of Predictive Processing

NeuroNur is pleased to feature the OpenScope Community Predictive Processing project. This is an open, community-driven experimental and analysis effort designed to test how the brain generates predictions and prediction errors, and whether different kinds of mismatch events rely on shared or distinct neural mechanisms across paradigms and species.

Biofluid Biomarkers for Neurodegeneration

Biofluid Biomarkers for Neurodegeneration

In this project, we are reviewing biofluid biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders. We focus on how measurable signals in biofluid biomarkers such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood can support earlier detection, patient stratification, and monitoring of disease progression. While highlighting what is most ready for clinical translation versus what still needs validation.

Our Work

What We Do

Collaborative Research

We aim to co-create and execute neuroscience research projects that tackle pressing scientific questions while providing opportunities for early-career researchers to learn and gain hands-on experience.

Mentorship & Community Building

We aim to connect students and early-career scientists with mentors and professionals who guide, inspire, and help shape the next generation of neuroscientists.

Open Science & Knowledge Sharing

We aim to promote transparency, data sharing, and cross-border collaboration to drive scientific progress that benefits the global community.
